I try and offer as many ways of communicating as possible so that you’re in control of how you want to work. e-counselling is a discreet, easily accessible and convenient on-line counselling service. You don’t need a lot of experience with computers, tablets, smartphones or the internet to use the e-counselling service. This discreet and confidential approach to counselling is suitable for anyone who doesn’t want to work face to face with a therapist and can be helpful for people who have difficulty travelling to appointments; maybe due to distance, mobility difficulties, anxiety issues, childcare commitments, work commitments etc. or who prefer the anonymity this approach offers.
These e-Counselling bundles allow you to choose the amount of support you would like to receive. For example, once you’ve decided what level of support you would like, add to basket and check-out using PayPal. You don’t need to create a PayPal account, you can check out as a guest. Once payment has been received you send me an email. I will reply within 24 hours of receiving the text or email (Monday – Friday). You can then take as much time as you need to work through my reply. When you’re ready, send me a return email and within 24 hours (Monday – Friday) I’ll reply back etc. It’s like a face-to face counselling session but on-line, through email or txt, at your pace.
Research carried out by the NHS has shown that for some clients working this way can be easier for them to open up and talk about what’s on their mind. For some clients, trying to fit a counselling session into an already busy day and then looking a therapist in the eye sat across from you in an unfamiliar counselling room when you have something personal and distressing to say can sometimes be difficult. Working through e-counselling is a convenient way to access support without the need to travel to an appointment.
I offer online therapy through email, text messaging and Skype. These can be purchased as individual sessions, a bundle of sessions or as a monthly subscription for those seeking ongoing support. If you feel e-counselling might be right for you please contact me and together we can discuss if this way of working is appropriate for you, which package of support you prefer and what you would like to do next.
