Psychotherapy and Counselling
I provide short and long-term psychotherapy & counselling that can be accessed either within a private counselling room, through ‘Walking & Talking’ outdoors amongst nature (with or without my dog) or via Skype, email or SMS Txt. I won’t baffle you with a list of different therapeutic ways in which we could work. What’s important is meeting your needs within our sessions together and that I’m professionally qualified and registered with the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy). I’m experienced in working with children, young people and adults and previous clients have said that they experience me as accepting, down to earth, non-judgmental, safe and helpful.
Working together, we can talk about what’s happening in your life, explore any options and changes you might want to make, what might need to happen for you to feel empowered to do this and some ways to support and promote your ongoing emotional health and well-being. Within my private counselling room I’ve got a wide range of art/creative/play materials that can be used within your sessions should you choose.
It’s important we both feel comfortable with each other and at our initial meet we can talk about what brings you to counselling and what you hope to achieve. I’ll answer as best I can any questions you may have ‘about me’ and we can decide if working together is going to be helpful for you. I can be contacted confidentially and without obligation, via SMS Txt, email or mobile to discuss what you would like to do next.
e-Counselling
I try and offer as many ways of communicating as possible so that you’re in control of how you want to work. e-counselling is a discreet, easily accessible and convenient on-line counselling service. You don’t need a lot of experience with computers, tablets, smartphones or the internet to use the e-counselling service. This discreet and confidential approach to counselling is suitable for anyone who doesn’t want to work face to face with a therapist and can be helpful for people who have difficulty travelling to appointments; maybe due to distance, mobility difficulties, anxiety issues, childcare commitments, work commitments etc. or who prefer the anonymity this approach offers.
Reiki
As a qualified Reiki Master & Teacher, Epona Equine Reiki Practitioner and member of The Reiki Association, you may also wish to access this powerful yet gentle non-intrusive healing technique. Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing technique that can bring feelings of peace, centeredness and an ability to cope better with the challenges of life. It is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
As an Epona Reiki Practitioner I’m qualified to work with Horses and animals.

Healing Animals with Reiki
As an Epona Equine Reiki Practitioner I’m able to work with Horses & animals and Reiki. All animals take the energy they need to heal or relax and on no account does Reiki ever cause discomfort, pain or distress.
Reiki healing can be used alongside veterinary treatment as it does not in any way interfere detrimentally with the treatment. Reiki healing can also be used when an animal is dying as it seems to calm them and prepare them for their journey to the spirit world. When Reiki is done for a dying animal the owner can benefit greatly seeing how calm and at peace their beloved pet becomes and it can ease their grief and loss.
Reiki Training

Shamanic Work & Healing
The word Shamanism can be used to describe the ancient spiritual practices of indigenous cultures and is a healing tradition based on the belief that everything is living, has a spirit and can be communicated with.
I study with the Northern Drum Shamanic Centre which is a UK-based educational organisation offering a renewed perspective on traditional and modern shamanic and medicine teachings.
The aim of shamanic healing is to restore a person to wholeness and balance. This ancient method works with the individual and the ‘spirit’ of that which needs healing to bring back a state of equilibrium to the body, mind and spirit. Working with the drum, rattle, feather and sacred herbs, the shaman becomes a ‘hollow bone’ and allows his or her spirit helpers to work through him or her. In sacred space and time, the shaman enables these healing energies to bring the highest good for the client. The process can be extremely powerful and transformative and at the same time nurturing and safe. (Chris Luttichau)
Some of the healing techniques we can work with are;
- Extraction/removal of misplaced & unhealthy energy that does not belong in the body and may cause illness.
- Clearing and cleansing the energy fields within and surrounding the body to increase a sense of balance and well-being.
- Soul Retrieval & Soul Extraction – recovering & mending parts of ‘self/soul’ that may have been damaged or lost.
- Healing fear patterns. Healing ancestral fear patterns.
- Space clearing. Cleansing and purification of houses, buildings, cars, boats, etc. that may contain unhealthy energy.
- Psychopomp; End of life support and supporting the souls of the dead to safely cross into the next phase of life so as not to stay as ‘wandering spirits’.
- Healing ancestral patterns of behavior and curses.
- Aligning & balancing energy centre’s / Chakras.
- Finding and retrieving your Power Animal.
- Long distance healing.
- Working with stones & plants to extract misplaced energy.
